Gerard Woods
Managing Director
Gerard leads the overall strategy and direction of Switch Lighting, with direct responsibility for sales and marketing. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the Lighting Council of New Zealand and represents the Council on the AS/NZS standards committee responsible for maintaining safety standards for general lighting.
Julie Halsey
Executive Assistant to MD
Julie supports the Managing Director and wider Switch Lighting team across people, business administration, marketing and communications, and day-to-day operational matters.
Pierre Van Heerden
Finance Manager
Pierre brings more than 20 years of management and financial accounting experience to Switch Lighting, gained across New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland.
Paula Baldwin
Finance Administrator
Paula supports Switch Lighting's day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and credit control. She also assists customers and suppliers with finance-related enquiries.
Jon Maunsell
Technical Engineer
Jon has been designing and developing LED lighting products since 2003 and brings extensive technical knowledge and product development experience to Switch Lighting.
Natalie Woods
Lighting Designer
Natalie creates considered lighting designs tailored to each project, recognising that good lighting is an essential part of a successful home. Her approach balances function and atmosphere, with careful attention to how lighting complements the architecture, interiors and use of each space. Her interest in interior design supports a thoughtful, cohesive approach to both lighting design and product selection.
Livi Hunter
Associate Lighting Designer
Livi develops thoughtful, practical lighting designs tailored to each project, ensuring the lighting throughout the home is functional, cohesive and enhances the architecture, interiors and overall atmosphere of each space. With extensive knowledge of the Switch Lighting product range, she works with clients through the design and product-selection process and is available for site visits throughout Nelson and Tasman, as well as consultations at the Nelson showroom.

Johnny supports Switch Lighting customers across Central New Zealand, from Taranaki through to Nelson and Marlborough. Aalihah works from Switch Lighting's Auckland Lighting Hub, supporting architects, interior designers, developers, electricians and homeowners with lighting consultations, product education and specification advice. She translates project requirements into clear briefs for the Nelson Lighting Design team, presents completed lighting designs and supports clients through to final product selection.

Jack is a licensed electrician and brings practical industry knowledge to his role supporting Switch Lighting’s wholesale and trade customers across Auckland and the Upper North Island. He works closely with electricians and electrical wholesalers, providing product education, lighting advice and ordering support to help customers select and apply the right lighting solutions.

Customer Services Administrator
Bonnie is a key point of contact for Switch Lighting customers, processing incoming orders and assisting with product, order and general enquiries. She works closely with customers and the wider team to resolve issues and provide timely, practical solutions throughout the ordering process.
Jason Kemp
LED Technician
Jason works in Research and Development at Switch Lighting, specialising in photometrics, conformance and prototype testing. With experience spanning IT and electrical disciplines, he also assists with technical enquiries.
