Our Key Team Members
Gerard Woods
Managing Director
Gerard is responsible for the overall strategy and vision for Switch Lighting. Gerard is also actively involved in the Lighting Council of NZ where he sits on the Executive Committee. He represents LCNZ on AS/NZ standards committee EL041 which is responsible for updating and maintaining safety standards for general lighting. When he's not working, you will find Gerard enjoying one of his outdoor pursuits: kite-surfing, paddle-boarding, snowboarding or adventure riding on his KTM990 bike.
Jon Maunsell
Technical Engineer
Jon has been designing and creating LED lighting products since 2003. Over this time he has built up a very comprehensive knowledge about how to create the best LED products. When not developing the latest innovations, Jon can be found spending time with his daughter and partner or out on the trails on his mountain bike.
Pip Stamper
Finance Manager
Pip is based in our Nelson office and can assist you with any invoicing queries. Pip has experienced a variety of industries in her administration career, from large scale manufacturing to retail. Outside of the office she enjoys family time at Nelson Lakes National Park with her husband and three adult children.
Cindy Black
Marketing Manager
Cindy is based in our Nelson office and is managing the Marketing of our products and solutions. Cindy is passionate about building strong brand connections, with experience across multiple industries during her international career. During her downtime, Cindy loves to spend her time with her young family, exploring all the exciting adventures Aotearoa has to offer.

Lighting Consultant
David is based on the North Shore of Auckland. He is responsible for the Central Auckland and Northland region. David has very good technical knowledge of LED products. When not working with his customer base, David enjoys getting out on his jet ski for some fishing in the Manukau Harbour.

Johnny is based in the Wellington region. He is responsible for the Central NZ area running from Taranaki right down to Nelson/Marlborough. In his spare time Johnny is an avid sports fan and an absolute fishing nut who will get out on the water as often as possible to get his fix.

Emma is based in our new Christchurch Showroom in the heart of the city. Emma has a background in Architectural Sales and is also an Interior Designer. She is passionate about connecting with customers and creating beautiful spaces. Outside of work, you will find Emma running through the forest with her Labrador Louis, or spending time with her family.

Reece Hellings

Sales Representative
Reece joined Switch in November 2020 after seven years based in London. His territory covers North Canterbury, the West Coast and to the bottom of the South Island. Although new to the LED/Electrical Industry he comes from a commercial interiors background and loves working for a New Zealand owned company with strong values.

Letty has a vast background in commercial and industrial lighting and a touch of experience in residential lighting design.

Aaron Fletcher
Auckland Showroom
Lighting Design Sales Consultant
Aaron joined our team in 2021, bringing with him extensive knowledge in home automation and lighting design. Aaron manages our successful Switch Lighting showroom at 49 Ponsonby Road, Auckland. He is passionate about lighting controls and product development, with a keen focus on Casambi smart lighting automation. During his downtime, Aaron enjoys the fine art and practice of woodworking.

Kari Ryding
R&D Engineer
Kari joins our team with a wealth of global engineering experience, having started his engineering career in the UK. Kari specialises in analogue and digital Electronic Design; developing Printed Circuit Boards for our Switch LED lighting products; and developing software for product testing. In his spare time, Kari loves relaxing, caravanning and getting out on his bike.
Jason Kemp
LED Technician
Jason is engaged in Research and Development, specialising in photometrics, conformance and prototype testing. Jason is broadly qualified from professional chef to IT and electrical. He is available to field any technical inquiries. In his spare time Jason likes to travel and enjoys skiing whenever he can.
Jeanette Swift
Production & Customer Services Manager
Jeanette manages and develops the Production, Customer Service and Dispatch teams. Production scheduling, assisting our domestic and international customers and troubleshooting are all in a day's work. Originally from Yorkshire, she now lives in Richmond.
Julie Halsey
Executive Assistant to MD
Julie is the Executive Assistant to Gerard and provides administrative support to the rest of the team as required. She has a young child so all her spare time is spent resting. Kidding. She has no spare time!
Lindsay Shapcott
Inventory Manager
Lindsay manages our inbound supply chain and warehouse. Monitoring, purchasing and maintaining current inventory levels; tracking orders; and investigating and resolving supply chain problems.

Ellie Jepson
Inventory Administrator
Ellie supports the Supply Chain team in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed. She manages our warranty and claims process. Outside of work, Ellie is a mum of 3 kids and 2 dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, dog walking, photography and having a laugh with her friends.
